Before my niece was born, my sister in law was talking about finding baby giveaways. I had a good laugh when I heard her say that, and she had to explain what she meant. No one is giving away babies, but there are many places that do give away goodies that many moms may want to have once they have given birth. That made more sense to me, and I realized that this was a great way for companies to introduce their products to those who are most likely to buy them, and also a great way for new families to save a little money. When you have a new baby, every penny counts.

Some of the baby giveaways that she found didn’t do her much good. There were plenty for formula, and they just kept coming in the mail. My sister in law was breast feeding, but she accepted them anyway. She put them away in the closet so in the event that something happened and she could not longer breastfeed, she would have a back up. When you look for baby giveaways, don’t think of them as just free gifts. Think of them as the best way to try all of the things out there so you can decide what works best for your baby and your family. All children are different, and they all need different things. The free stuff is nice of course, but it is also a great way to decide which really are the best products so you can get the best when you go out to buy more.
